Bonneville, Davis, Layton, Syracuse, Viewmont, and Woods Cross all duked it out during the Davis County Invitational on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Barnes Park in Kaysville.

Staring at a series sweep at the hands of Davis and down by a run, Clearfield designated hitter Ethan Giacalone stepped into the batter’s box with two on and two out in the bottom of the seventh inning against a pitcher he had not seen in his three previous at-bats.

Davis is on a tear right now, and all alone atop the Region 1 softball standings. Davis has outscored its last seven opponents by a combined score of 72-16
