Terry Fator, GENTRI, Night Ranger, more in Summer Nights with the Stars lineup

LAYTON — The Davis Arts Council released the lineup for its annual Summer Nights with the Stars concert series at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater, 403 Wasatch Drive, in Layton.

Among the most recognized names to grace the stage during the summer series are Terry Fator, Boz Scaggs, GENTRI, Melissa Etheridge and Night Ranger.

“We’re really, really excited about the lineup,” said Teri Cowan, director of development and marketing at the Davis Arts Council. “I think it's a really good mix.”

Families will be attracted to a show featuring Terry Fator and his puppets, she said.

With a diverse existing audience and a plan to build a new audience, Cowan said this year’s summer schedule should appeal to a wide number of music fans.

A handful of the groups came as a result of audience requests, she said, naming Night Ranger, GENTRI, Melissa Etheridge, The LettermenNathan Pacheco and The Browns as examples.

The venue also is a draw, Cowan said, noting that the amphitheater offers a unique experience.

“So many people have seen (these groups) at other venues,” Cowan said. “It is just up really close. You can be in the back of the grass and still see the faces of the artists. It is intimate — a great way to spend a summer night.”

Those interested in seeing multiple performances may purchase nine-show season ticket packages. A season package for general admission seating costs $123 and reserved seating season ticket packages cost $188.

All general admission season tickets and season renewals for those who purchased season tickets last season will start Monday, April 2

Single show tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, and may be purchased online or at the Davis Arts Council box office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at 445 N. Wasatch Drive in Layton.

The prices for each show vary, but the least expensive option for all of them is general admission, which is the grass seating area on the outskirts of the venue. The other options are reserved seating, which encompasses the chairs in the center of the venue, and orchestra seating, which is right in front of the stage.

Specific pricing information for each show is listed below.
